ANGEL FACE
(1953)
Robert Mitchum, Jean Simmons, Mona Freeman, Herbert Marshall.
An ambulance driver (Mitchum) finds himself caught up in the classic noir brew of a gorgeous rich woman (a surprisingly cast Simmons) who wants him to conduct a little evil for her. Bewitched and bothered by this femme fatale, he cannot find it in himself to say no. Needless to say the scheme goes wrong and they are hunted by the law. Caught, they hatch a clever scheme to hoodwink the jury. Director Otto Preminger examines the darker sides of sex, money and crime.
